Sean,
I have recently seen some of your YouTube blogs on the business of the Puget Sound area. Most recent was the blog on the Boeing 787 issue in Everett / Washington State. A couple of details you missed regarding the Washington State B&O tax change. You can refer to the voters pamphlet for the details. First: the legislature has already passed a bill – Engrossed Senate Bill 6690 (which is an advisory vote for us, #35, and really will not change the outcome). This bill just raised the B&O Tax to all commercial airplane manufactures… $1,024.000,000 over the next ten years. This Tax includes tooling and components to build the planes. Oh, the tax break that Inslee is upset about was cancelled already for the Trade agreement as I understand. Include the other additional B&O Taxes that have been added, with out a vote of the people, it is a wonder anybody will to have a business in Washington State.
Sean,
I watch your show online and I have a few things I wonder if you can touch on in one of your shows… as California has adopted SB 1079 Residential Property: Foreclosure – giving the govt / state the first right to buy if a property is foreclosed – has Washington – Seattle / King County or Snohomish or Spokane done this as well?
And – I’ve noticed that the parcel viewer for King county ( https://gismaps.kingcounty.gov/parcelviewer2/ ) has part of the search as coming up as a Dotcom ( .com ) – rather than .gov. ( if you do a search under parcel viewer it will then move from https://gismaps.kingcounty.gov/parcelviewer2 … to https://blue.kingcounty.com.
( after you click on property report ) … and then even further when going down to click on excise number or recording number it will 50% of the time go to a page that says ‘error’ and it looks like a Redfin page – however this search does not originate in Redfin but on the King County govt page https://gismaps.kingcounty.gov/parcelviewer2/
With regard to the ‘error page’ coming up… This is not on any particular property – but various of those tried that resulted in the ‘error’ page when searching were in Bellevue, Redmond/Sammamish – we tried a few of them in different cities and came up with the same result when trying it over and over – sometimes it happens the first try, sometimes it happens after the third attempt to search a property.
I was under the impression that all parcels ( state wide – Nation wide ) were listed under .gov… not .com. I went to check this out in other states and there are many other states that are listed .gov… but then some listed as .com
Does this mean they are becoming privately owned websites? rather than govt owned websites? ( meaning the top 1% owned ) Just wondering?
Thanks for your input.
Mr. Reynolds. I watched a news clip about RENT Rage. It resulted in 2 deaths. The tension between landlords and tenants are frightening; thanks to the extension of this eviction moratorium. (My personal opinion).
Please explain this.
